GUY WAKU: Producer, composer and performer

Guy Waku musical experience is his ability to associate various musical styles, respecting his afro-R'n'B background influences, mixed with harmonious sounds and transcending vocal arrangements.

Versatile, (R'n'B, Soul, Gospel, Hip Hop, Pop Rock, and World Music), he has broken new grounds with "N'ZINZI" of EMENEYA, "OKONINGANA" of PAPA WEMBA, producing a contemporary African music.
With OPHELIE WINTER single "Dieu m'a donné la foi", Guy Waku has initiated the Groove and R'n'B generation with various artists, marking a tremendous turning point in the music industry in France.

His music is a stunning and successful combination of acoustic, electronic and vocal art.
Very early,he's inspired by Earth Wind and Fire, Gap Band, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross...
Unique, Guy Waku supports innovative musical ventures, and adapts naturally to any kind of music.He's particularly interested in creating little special effects that will reveal either the artist talent or the uniqueness of a sound.

Son of diplomats, Guy Waku was a former student of the Academy of fine arts in Brussels and music was his passion. He finally choosed music as a career.Self-made man and freelance artist, he started playing drums and gradually discovered others instruments.

In the early 80s, he released his first English tracks under the name of Greg Wakson, such as "Try to give a little more", "Baby be my Lady", "Saida".
Then he formed a band called Presset with his childhood friends, Lukatas.
By the end of the 80s, Guy Waku moved to Los Angeles where he got the chance to work with STEVIE WONDER and ATLANTIC STARS.

In 1992, He flew back to Belgium and opened GSP recording Studio in collaboration with Frederic Fraikin (Engineer and sounds producer).

In the same period, he released another single "WHY".

It's with the release of the single "la voix du Mellow" that Guy Waku's will of building a career as a producer was born.

GUY WAKU works closely with his junior brother DADDY WAKU, a member of Soul: ID (Production, composition, and vocal arrangements), and his sister Alexia WAKU (author, singer and vocal arrangements)
In fifteen years of musical experience, more than 10 million singles and albums have been sold, several awards ( gold and platinum records) have been received.
Composer and producer, GUY WAKU is busy working on his solo album and producing a new generation of artists such as: AFRICAN SHEGUE, HILLYA ( "Impératrice de Rome" in LE GLADIATEUR) , LES METHIOLA. He also continues collaborating with other famous artists like MATT HOUSTON, PASSI, LES SALES GOSSES, LORENZO RAFAEL, SAY, LYNNSHA, JARROD. He participates actively in new projects : THE GOLDEN KING - DIS L'HEURE 2POP ROCK and the remix of MADNESS "SHAME AND SCANDAL"
Aside,he produces musical pieces for TV and radio commercials and now he is extending his career by composing movies soundtracks.
